Hello,

my name is Dana! I'm from Germany and 25 years old. [Further down is the translation in Lithuanian (just google, so don't expect too much ;) )]

I'm a SAR dog handler and right now I'm searching for a puppy to educate to a search and rescue dog.
SAR dogs needs to have an extremely good nose and the will to track - quite similar to the demands on a hunting dog.
Two years ago I learned to know the Lithuanian Hound dog and I'm sure this would be a fantastic breed for this kind of work.

If anybody could help me by finding more informations and breeders, that would be very helpful!

I already tried to contact the president of the Lithuanian Hound association but unfortunately I didn't get any answer...

Attached you find a picture of me and my current SAR dog Colin (Labrador-Border Collie Crossbreed, 3 years old) at work :)

Thank all of you in advance!

Sveiki,

my name is Dana!

Dana

Hello!

Thanks a lot for your quick answer!!!

Yes, I already realized that the only information about this breed is in Lithuanian language. And the google translation is not really helpful there :/

I know the Polish and Latvian breed as well but for me indeed they're a bit too small.

Are you a breeder yourself? If not it would be fantastic if you could make a contact for me...

Are there any remarkable characteristics about this breed which I should know about?
